SPEAK OUT Minimize

Speak out is a new section on the P.O.W.E.R. website.  It acts as a portal to other sites active on issues important to the planet.  It also acts as a space to learn about local actions you can get involved with.  You could have found your way here for many different reasons - you may be here because you are surfing our website, or because you were asked to check the site out from a campaign we are involved in, or maybe you purchased a SPEAK OUT band.  Either way WELCOME.

If you would like to get involved please feel free to email biodiversity@powerhalton.ca . We would love you to join our Youth Caucus.

SPEAK OUT for BioDiversity!
2011 - 2020 has been designated by the United Nations as the Decade for BioDiversity.   Like the Convention on Climate Change, there is a Convention on Biological Diversity. Please consider getting involved - we can change the world.

BioDiversity Ambassadors Minimize

BioDiversity Ambassadors is the creation of the P.O.W.E.R. Youth Caucus. Similar to EcoMentors and with a service learning piece, BioDiversity Ambassadors is a platform for youth to speak out on BioDiversity matters they are passionate about.  The goal is to help youth educate and inform others, both youth and adults, about the values of BioDiversity.  If you are intrested in mentoring the ambassadors or becoming an ambassador, please send an email to info@powerhalton.ca The first session for Ambassador training will be held at BioDiversity Matters3, December 1, 2011 georgetown Ontario.
